Sample Floorplan: Historic Evanston Inn
Evanston Court incorporates 10 unique floor plans created through an extensive rehabilitation of the Historic Evanston Inn.
The Historic Evanston Inn was built in 1897, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, and reborn in 2017 as ten (10) unique, fully rehabilitated and reimagined residences offering historic charm and modern conveniences. No plan is repeated in the Historic Evanston Inn – the above floorplan is just one example – but most are 2-bedroom and 2-bathroom flats, some located on the first floor and some on the second floor at the top of a 1-story shared entry stair. All new structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems and all new interior layout effectively create an “all new” home inside the facade of this historic building. All new kitchens and bathrooms are designed with an historic flair, including white shaker cabinets, black kitchen countertops, porcelain apron “farm front” sinks, and classic white subway tile and hexagonal tiled bathrooms. Period appropriate narrow plank hardwood floors are included in the living areas. Historic features such as high ceilings, renovated windows and original interior doors with original moldings and case work enhance the authenticity of your home and it’s one-of-a-kind contribution to Pasadena history. Lastly, due to it’s historic significance, units in the Historic Evanston Inn qualify for reduced property taxes via the Mills Act.
